Mountains

Kyrgyzstan will be my next mountain-backpacking country. I will only give the tour two weeks, from late May into June. This is actually the time I enjoy visiting "warmer" countries. That is, warmer than Iceland. This season means abundance of flowering plants showing their best and the scent of growing vegetation filling the air. Planning to spend a couple of days south of Bishkek and then some days in the mountains east / south east of Kochkor. From far, far away, the landscape appears to be quite impressive for those who prefer mountains to flatness. I will fly by Icelandair and Aeroflot. These companies seem to be offering the fairest price on the way Reykjavik-London-Bishkek. No hidden cost - included is 20 kg luggage and hand luggage of more weight than of the things that I plan to take with me. The so-called low cost airlines seem to have an endless line of added cost: you must choose a seat - choosing a seat costs. If you carry anything bigger/heavier than a handkerchief it costs.

I promise to take notes on my way and give my impression of the whole thing - might be some weeks after my return to Iceland as the weeks and months after my return will be busy. Outdoors.
